- Garden care: Plant in a moist but free draining soil which is slightly acidic. Mulch with an acidic mulch in autumn and spring a mulch such as chopped conifer needles is ideal. Feed once a year with a Rhododendron food. Dead head spent flower heads to promote better flowering in the next season. Watch for thrips and leaf roller catapillar.
